Hi San2006, Your question: When U say ”elemental Iodine” u mean I2 I assume. So Iodine salts should be okay to consume like Potassium Iodide(KI)? Unfortunately, when I started Iodine I was very excited and enthusistic. I started taking Lugols and got lots of bad symptoms. Like Acne on my eyebrows/ forehead/chin. Also diarrhea and feeling of being wiped out. I took lots of vitamin C, and some selenium, but still had symptoms. And then I fianlly decided to back off as I learnt that its not working for me. thanks for the post moreless,i was refering to the iodine in kelp,i don’t think i would use that other manufactured stuff unless i had to. just thinking out loud,maybe a lot of peaple with mercury in their system has alot of it in their lymph system because of a lack of minerals and iodine in the lymph.so when they supply enough iodine through kelp,the iodine floods the lymph system pushing out the mercury and leaving the body,just a thought. 1,690 hits

Also, over the years I’ve heard from conventional and alternative sources that iodine (including the iodine in kelp) can aggravate acne. -- Do you agree with this, or not? The taste of iodine can be largely removed by neutralising the iodine, after it has had time to work, with dissolvable vitamin C tablets, lime or lemon juice. I bought a bag if Algit years ago (still using it) for my animals, but I would like Human Grade for myself. About Thorvin, isn’t that a TREMENDOUS difference in Iodine content? If people would do their research, they would find that in the very beginning, before the iodine forum ever came about, that I suggested using the Best Cold Ocean Water grown Kelp, which would have the Highest Natural Iodine content ! Thanks Moreless, I want you to know that I respect you and your knowledges. The second forum that I check - after iodine’s- is yours. I don’t intend to use iodine moderate. The conditions that it treats was very serious to my self confidence - esteem. It ’s like one to have cancer and iodine cure it after you have found it by chance. What would you do? So I have to use it. But I have my ears -and eyes- open to use iodine the best I can do. I know it is oxidant - take a lot of antioxidants. kills probiotics - I take good probiotics daily. Hi Invincible, Everything depends upon what extra Alkaline Minerals a person may have , which are needed to match the iodine intake ? If the person is short of too many needed Alkaline Minerals, then they may show side effects sooner than those who may have some extra Alkaline Minerals etc ! Hi Celcius, Good article warning people of the Dangers of overdosing on Iodine from several ”Non-organic forms”, such as Lugol’s Solution and the Iodoral Tablets which are made with Iodine and Potassium iodide(SSKI) ! And a person may find ”Many” articles with similar ”Warnings”, if ”YOU” choose to do a search for them ! As Invincible has posted in an earlier post:----- I also read the post where Vulcanel originally posted that he recommends Iodoral tablets from Optimox, although I now see he has edited that statement.
