Prayer warrior
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Prayer warrior is a term used by many evangelical and other Christians to refer to anyone who is committed to praying for others.
Within the context of Dominion theology, prayer warriors see themselves as engaged in spiritual warfare against satanic forces.[1]
Prayer warriors may pray for individuals, or for entire states or regions. One recent development has been prayer undertaken by groups of people flying over the areas for which they wish to undertake intercession.[2]

Re: Another life in a different reality?
by strangeme 16 y
Rudy,
While I see you as a caring evolved soul, I really think you have some unresolved issues in your life, that makes you more aware of the Dark than you should be.
Prayer is just talking to God. But most people use prayer as a one directional monologue to God never waiting after prayer in deep and quiet contemplation for the answer to the prayer.
Prayer should be a dialogue between a person and God. The God of Light is not far but encompasses all of existence

Ephesians 6:10 NIV

To understand how offensive the warrior mindset is to God, let’s use a human metaphor. Imagine yourself sitting down in a restaurant having lunch with your best friend. When the two of you share your thoughts with each other, you call it conversation. What’s the point of conversation? Why talk to your friend at all? Because that’s how you commune with each other—it’s how you develop a strong emotional bond between the two of you. Such bonds are very important to human beings. We are communal creatures and we have a deep need to relate with each other in emotional, psychological, and physic ...

5th Mode of Prayer
Much of our conditioning in western traditions for the last one and one half millennia has invited us to ”ask” that specific circumstances in our world change through divine intervention; that our prayers be answered. In our well-intentioned asking, however, we may unknowingly empower the very conditions that we are praying to change.
For example, when we ask, ”Dear God, please let there be peace in the world,” in effect we are stating that peace does not exist in the present. Ancient traditions remind us that prayers of asking are one form of prayer, among other ...

A Prayer for a Jesus-centered Prayer Life
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16
Dear Jesus, my prayer life, like many other parts of my discipleship, has suffered the damaging effects of bad teaching through the years. This one verse in James used to intimidate and discourage me from praying. First of all, I used to assume that the only “powerful and effective” prayer was one to which you said “Yes” and secondly, I thought the health of my prayer life was directly related to my maturity as a Christian.
The more righteous I was, the more incl ...

Prayers are a wonderful provision that God has given to us, and a great privilege. Think of how wise and powerful God is in comparison to us, and yet He has given us a means of communication with Him! How loving He is! It would be an act of sincere appreciation to find out how we should offer our prayers acceptably to Him. In this was we may develop a personal relationship with our heavenly Father, learn how to lean upon Him and call Him our ”friend.” (James 2:23/ Ps 55:22/ Pr 3:5-6)

I do believe that prayer draws God closer to you for there are many in the world who do not pray at all or who are wicked and their ”prayer is something detestable to God.” By accepting the great priviledge of prayer you are in fact inviting God to draw close to you for prayer is a way to draw close to God. James 4:8 reads ”Draw close to God and he will draw close to you.” showing that an even deeper closeness can be had between you and God. Prov 15:29 says ”Jehovah is far away from the wicked ones, but the prayer of the righteous ones he hears.” So the word of God definately shows that a ...

Prayer is a communion from our heart and the heart does not speak with words. I believe as children of god we first learn to commune through verbailzations but then progress as true prayer is silent and takes place in the secret place of the Most High. My Most pleasing communions have been when there is no ego or words involved. Feels as if prayer occurs through me rather than by me.

The form of the “Sinner’s Prayer” that is under examination by CARM and that is also condemned as being dangerous is the prayer that contains biblically true elements (repentance, belief, praying to Jesus, etc.) but is then concluded with a statement such as, ”Because you have prayed this prayer, you are now a Christian.” This final statement of assurance of salvation is unbiblical because we are not saved by praying a special prayer. After the first morning hour [of prayer], the Christian’s day until evening belongs to work. ”People go out to their work and to their labor until the evening” (Ps. 104:23 ). In most cases a community of Christians living together will separate for the duration of the working hours. Praying and working are two different things. Prayer should not be hindered by work, but neither should work be hindered by prayer. Just as it was God’s will that human beings should work six days and rest and celebrate before the face of God on the seventh, so it is also God’s will that every day should be mar ...

Seven Perspectives on Prayer
Pray without ceasing!
1. Prayer isn’t passive, it’s active. It’s really doing something. Prayer isn’t the least we can do, it’s the most.
2. Prayer is supernatural. It’s reaching out of the visible world into the unseen world, and tapping into powers beyond this dimension. (Prayer picks fights with demons—and empowers righteous angels to win those fights.)
“Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms ...

Earlier this week, we reported on Americans United for Separation of Church and State’s lawsuit against Medina Valley Independent School District over the inclusion of a prayer in an upcoming graduation ceremony. Yesterday, a federal judge ruled in favor of the separatist group, stripping the school of the right to include any student-led prayer whatsoever.
The judge claimed that the individuals opposed to the prayer — a young student and his family — will “suffer irreparable harm” if prayers are uttered during the ceremony. FOX News radio has more:

This order and discipline must be sought and found in the morning prayer. It will stand the test at work. Prayer offered in early morning is decisive for the day. The wasted time we are ashamed of, the temptations we succumb to, the weakness and discouragement in our work, the disorder and lack of discipline in our thinking and in our dealings with other people․all these very frequently have their cause in our neglect of morning prayer. The ordering and scheduling of our time will become more secure when it comes from prayer.

1 John 5:14-15 assures us that God hears our prayers, provided we pray ”according to his will”. Besides prayer, there are three other good guideposts to check when you want to know if you’re in God’s will:
1- the Bible
2- other believers
3- circumstances
God will never contradict his written word, so check that first. If the Bible does not specifically address your question, consult with other mature believers who hold the Bible in the highest regard. If you’re still not sure after all that, then just make your best judgement and stick with it. Sometimes God simply wants us to choose.

Thank you jozefine,
This is such a journey we are ALL on!!! My prayer list is growing.
Hey mabey we can add a prayer board? I know I would (no matter how bad I felt) write a prayer and give THANKS everyday.
What do you think?
I use to do this with a friend of mine, we would send prayers out to each other and we would circle it around as much as possible. Her friends would add a pray such as mine. It is really fun doing this, for we can see what others are praying for and it makes US feel so GOOD, typing to GOD.
