In most women the radiation in a mam. will cause a 10% increase in breast cancer in 10 yrs. Worth it you say. Problem is in 2 of the last 8 studies (the only ones large enough and adequately randomized) MAM.s did not extend the life of the women that had them.And if you are one of the 2% of women (3 million in US) that have the ataxia-telangiectasia gene flaw,the increase in cancer goes to 400%.A much better test is a Thermograph-more accurate and safe.Find somone that does them and go.P.S.
