I hadn’t thought about putting it in the water.... maybe that will help him drink more, he was dehydrated when I took him to the vet awhile back. I have been giving him some in his food, and a day or so ago I started giving him straight 15ppm CS. I also put a little ACV in his other water. (he has 2 :-)) He has been more perky, came out and greeted us last night and has been coming for food instead of me coming to get him to eat.   [End]

My cat has weird skin things too. He also has a tendency to have crusty ears, which the vet says is some auto-immune thing and it comes out on ears and tail. I have been spraying the CS on his skin things and that seems to keep them away. I just wonder if the iodine would help him fight off anything he has going on.   [End]

Did you notice anything with the cats drinking the iodine water?  I have a 21yo cat and I am wondering what else I can do for him.  He is blind, mostly deaf, arthritic, and he is not taking care of himself anymore.  His body has mats on it and I have learned how to get them out, but he wants to be under the bed all the time, and I have to get him out to eat.
