I’m unsure what the experts say about long term high doses, but from my own experiences, I’ve had nothing but good things come from it thus far. I think it’s been nearly 5 years for me, ranging upwards of 5-6 grams of sski and 500mg of Lugols, can’t get doses any higher than that! I did find that going over 150mg Lugols, applying magnets made things much better. My wife supplemented with Lugols while pregnant with our 1st child, she is now 3 years old and still takes Lugols/SSKI. I experienced the same thing I believe when I started my iodine journey. I experienced a red rash of sorts (little red dots) around my eyes as I upped the dose of Lugols to around 350mg+ a day. They eventually went away after reducing the dose. After a year of supplementing, I went back up to the mega doses, but they never did return. I would have to say it was a detox of sorts.   [End]

My experiences are positive, and I am also not concerned about the fluoride content. I feel the positives out weigh any of the ”negatives”. I love the stuff. I have gallons of it brewing at one time all the time. I personally let it brew for at least 2 weeks and sometimes up to 30 days at around 23-24 Celsius. I then do a second ferment with ginger or some kind of fruit for a few more days.   [End]

Dang, that is a real bummer with the liver. :-/ I eat about the equivalent of 1.5 lbs of fresh liver a week, and the same goes for heart. These two give me a ton of energy and I feel like a champ. I eat much smaller amounts of the other organs. Just got me some cow brains, dehydrating as we speak. :) I have yet to try putting SSKI on my face or into a cream. I am a old school with my moisturizer, I use good ole grass-fed beef tallow. I have though mixed in some 5% Lugols into my tallow balm for cuts and scrapes, but haven’t used it on my face.   [End]

Are you eating a good source of liver, as in pastured/grass fed and preferably A2 genetics? I cheat a bit and dehydrate the raw liver at low temp, grind it up and just scoop it into some raw milk. Maybe that method will help you out? Ya never know! I was thinking some other ingredient with the k2 extract. I would just eat natto, instead of an extract/supplement. You’re going to get so many other nutrients that your not going to find in a pill. Mix natto with hot rice, a raw egg and green onion...bam! Best breakfast ever. :)   [End]

I am good now, but detox was rough, but I just kept on trucking. I was getting nasty painful bromide zits on my scalp (pictures are on here somewhere), so I kept climbing up in dose until they went away...and they finally did when I reached the 400-500mg a day mark. I never took days off, I was religious with it. If you can handle the detox, then keep at it everyday. But to each their own. I also dabbed into the SSKI, reached 5 grams daily for a month or so. I was just curious about the specific brand meter used, as the one I had before my distiller wasn’t accurate at all. I would like measuring the water coming out of my Durastill.
