My bet is that if a person gets their halides into balance, that their own bodies would take care of the pH
balancing, provided they are eating reasonably well.
Remember, iodine is an extract of kelp, just as echinacea root extract comes from the purple conflower, or oxytocin is an extract of claviceps, or hemp oil is and extract of hemp, or honey is the extract of a beehive.
In nature, the concentration of the active ingredient can vary substantially. With kelp tablets, unless you have an actual analysis of the lot, you do not know the amount that is in the tablets.
