I am trying fasting now because of springtime allergies and after 24 hours I have noticed a huge improvement in symptoms (eyes, nose, throat, lungs). My father fasted during peak allergy season a few years in a row, and with good results, and eventually the allergies never came back. His were bad. He would sneeze so much and so suddenly that snot would fly everywhere and I remember my gag reflex being triggered. So fasting is worth a shot for me. The longest he went was 7 days.
