Actually, iron doesn’t always cause constipation, and really mainly certain forms, forms in poorly sourced supplements usually, have that association. There are vegetable sourced irons that are not known to cause constipation at all. Iron, when high, can cause inflammatory types of reactions such as joint swelling and skin rashes. Keep in mind, all the citrus juices you’ve been drinking have contributed a lot of vitamin C in conjunction with your ester C supplement.
