I’m not a doctor but it looks like a staff infection to me. Staff has bumps that are redder than acne and form a smaller head at the top. I sometimes get bumps like this on my neck in summer, but they will go away. Something in your body is out-of-balance leading to the normal staff in your nose and mouth to proliferate. I’m very sorry that you are having so much trouble. I do think it may at least partly be caused the drier air in winter. Dry air depletes the moisture in the skin and can aggravate eczema. It helps to use a lot of moisturizers. Neutrogena Aquafor is very good, and I have a new one from Walgreens called Moisture Recovery Lotion which is great, and cheap, too ($.99). Who knows what causes eczema. I’ve read some theories that it may be caused by a skin fungus. If this is so, antibiotics and bleach baths won’t help. This very likely is a skin yeast infection. You should see a doctor about going on prescription anti-fungals such as Difulcan or Nystatin. Over the counter anti-fungals aren’t strong enough, particularly since the yeast has become very well entrenched. Skin yeast infections can go undiagnosed, so keep looking for a doctor who will at least let you try prescription anti-fungals. I understand your question. It’s just that I love tomatoes and tomato and marinara sauces so much that I might not be willing to give them up. It sounds like you’ve scratched the eczema until the skin has broken. This is very painful because the nerve endings are exposed. As the spots heal, you will begin to be able to tolerate cremes because the nerves will no longer be exposed. Be ready with a nurturing creme when the healing begins, though, because once the skin begins to heal, it helps to begin moisturizing it right away and nurturing it with antioxidents. Hi Momo! Oh, I forgot to mention about the saline spray--after you squirt the saline spray into one nostril, sniff it way up into the sinuses. That way it will get all the way up to thoroughly rinse them out. The saline spray shouldn’t come out of your nose or get swallowed this way. When an article says that a particular fruit or vegetable is high in antioxidents, it can be any number of antioxidents--Vitamin E, Vitamin C, zinc, beta carotene, among others. Yes, mold is really bad for people with allergies, asthma and eczema. I had an eczema and asthma flare-up this past summer after visiting Austin, Texas where the mold was very high, even though it had been very dry. What has helped me the most is applying Doctor’s Defense and Benadryl cream to the inflamed areas. I also think that taking zinc (30 mg) may be helpful because since I’ve begun taking zinc, new outbreaks have been greatly reduced. My glucose did not change after being cured of candida. Before I came down with candida, my blood glucose levels were 106. During the year that I had it, it went up to 114, but I think that reading might have been skewed because I drank some coffee before the test.
