A couple of other things that can really get the bowels going, and are typically healthy, to boot: 1) Magnesium (more than whatever she is taking). 2) Vitamin C. I use a buffered ascorbate powder. Best first thing in am, mix 1 tsp in a cup of water, and drink- repeat every 15 minutes. After a few reps, this will get bowel moving! (Stop at the point when you have water coming out the rectum.) According to Andreas Moritz in his book, you can use magnesium citrate powder in place of the epson salts. Same amount and timing. It’s not tasty, but a big improvement and easier (for me) to get down. I’ve had a number of successful flushes using the mag citrate, so I can vouch for it’s effectiveness. Its a bit of a pain (constipating, time consuming) but it did a lot to bring down my levels of C4a and other inflammatory markers.
