Just to let you guys know, when I was in Mexico drinking with my friend 13 days ago he tossed a full plastic water bottle towards me. I didn’t see him do it and it hit me right on my face directly on my lip. It split my lip literally in half and was bleeding badly for a couple hours. I only use all natural/organic products. So no I don’t use peroxide and haven’t in years. I honestly can’t remember if I used it while I had peeling lips or not. If I did it wasn’t that often. Well, the world I live in almost all of my friends use a lip balm all of the time. If you go to minute 4:00 (and back track a bit if you like) I clearly state that from January through May I didn’t peel them off at all 99% of the time using the constant moisture method. Here in California, the local Sprouts and a few other small grocery stores sell raw milk, I’ve been buying it for a while now, it’s great. Well when I had this condition, dating was an issue for me...however I noticed that as long as they knew about the problem they usually didn’t have an issue with it. I was sure to inform them that it wasn’t contagious or anything and that usually put them at ease. However I didn’t try kissing them when I had huge crust on my lips. I still use chapstick everyday, which I don’t mind at all and it makes my lips look nice. I don’t ever have skin build up anymore, so it’s a huge relief for sure. If I stopped using chapstick I don’t believe my lips would actually build up skin, but they would feel dry and uncomfortable, so I prefer to use it. All of my friends use it too so it doesn’t really matter. Before after I was healed if my lips ever felt like they were acting up I just went out in the sun for a day and they were fine after that. The definition of Ec is continual build up and peeling off of the lips. That has completely subsided. My lips never turn white in the shower anymore, and I just use this organic chapstick I got from wholefoods. However if I go a period of time throughout the day without chapstick my inner lips (where they touch each other) will become dry and bother me. I almost never (99% of the time) get the white line anymore either. I would say I’m super close to cured, but I don’t have any plans to ever stop using this organic lip balm. I personally don’t think leaving them alone is the ”fastest” way to heal them, however I still do believe that eventually they would have healed. My lips today. Although I quit doing my treatment several months ago, and started wiping any buildup off everyday, my lips are doing much better and I only have to put aquaphor on couple times a day. I pretty much am able to live a normal life at this point, however my lips still bother me several times throughout the day. But no one has been able to notice. They are doing pretty good! I used to lucid dream and have OBE’s all of the time. (out of body experiences). I get them occasionally now probably every other month. As I haven’t been practicing in years or focused on it. I did try to heal my lips last year when I had an OBE, I asked to talk to my subconscious mind while in the dream/OBE world and asked it how to heal my lips. No, my EC spread within the first two months to parts of my lips not affected previously. I hadn’t realized it until many months later. However the buildup did decrease as time went on -- very slowly. But it did appear to get better. At this point it took only three months using constant moisture for my lips to look fairly normal on a daily basis. I don’t even need to put cream on the outer lips anymore, just the inner lips where they meet, so my outer lips for the majority of time rarely build up skin anymore. Since the beginning of July I have been testing keeping the mouth super clean. I was kind of slacking the first couple weeks, but the last two weeks I have really amped it up. EC is not an actual medical term for something definite. For example cancer or a broken bone, which all have the exact same characteristics. EC is simply (I can’t remember the correct word to use) a general example of what is happening to part of the body, which has unknown causes. So yes, as long as your lips are constantly exfoliating, then you have got EC. The white ”gunk” is just dead skin that is wet. It happens more at night because you drool and don’t wipe it off so you wake up in the morning with the line. Try wetting your tongue and keeping it between your lips for just 5 minutes and you’ll see that the white line appears since you have dead skin on your lips. once the skin is removed it will not turn white. Healing: as far as the texture I would say it looks like the skin that is on the inside of my cheeks, that skin is always wet, so that is the closest thing I can compare it to. Congrats longterm that’s great news. I missed the post where u talked about it, what is the pill you are taking and what type of fungus does it treat? I actually have been thinking about fungus lately, and when I went to the dentist in 2008 they said I had beginning stages of periodontal disease (which is like gingivitis) but just keeping your mouth clean and flossed/brushed everyday keeps that away. Lips are supposed to be under a lot of stress and nearly constant movement and touching...I mean there are people who talk all day long and move their lips constantly creating all kinds of trauma...I just truly am baffled at how someone can get this condition honestly. Hey peel1234, when I had gotten super burnt (where oil was leaking out of my face for a few days) my lips I believe looked swollen, I can’t really remember, but I do know that once my sunburn when away, and I started going out in the sun more that I then started seeing progress, however it took SEVERAL weeks before any very noticeable progress started. The white line is simply where ec meets healthy skin. Nothing more the only reason I still have problems with it is because its where the lips meet and I talk, so it causes additional irritation which leads to inflammation. However that area will be the final part to heal for a person. And to add my white line is nothing like it used to be, its gotten a lot better.   [End]

Thanks so much guys, I’ll try to answer the questions best I can. lipsdisorder: 0.1% Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment however I don’t believe that was what truly helped me. I think the combination of what I was/am doing is what was needed. I use it less than once a week now. death2ec: There is a very slight line on my outer lips where EC used to be, however that line is slowly going away and barely noticeable anymore. Peel1234: I have tried a bunch of diets but never actually stuck with them. I do eat raw food (not very much lately) but didn’t notice too much of a difference really. Maxime: no I don’t really ever get any toothpaste on my lips. The toothpaste I use doesn’t actually have any foaming agents in it so it doesn’t build up like crazy like most toothpastes. JSL I’m pretty sure you haven’t tried one thing that seriously made my build up stop, and that is going out in the sun everyday and getting a lot of sun. Just go and get burnt man, I am almost positive it will help you. Go to the tanning bed if you have to. Alright guys I will do my best to anser questions. it’s not like I pound up the aquaphor on my lips. If my lips feel fine then there really isn’t a reason to put the steroid cream on (in my opinion). Once I feel like they’re ready I put the cream on, but max 2 times a day. But yes on top of the aquaphor, it’s not a big deal really. You just need to keep the lips moist with a constant barrier. I’m with Healing...why don’t you just try what several of us are having success with? My advice: get some steroid cream, aquaphor, and get to the tanning bed every other day if the weather isn’t sufficient. I notice when I don’t go out for a few days the inner lips get a very faint white line, when I go out in the sun the next day they are amazing. That’s my advice.   [End]

I got Vaseline last week, and it didn’t seem to work for me. Aquaphor provided a much better barrier on my lips...I had to apply Vaseline many times more than Aquaphor. If the cream you are using is turning your lips red, maybe you should try a different one? They steroid cream I have is making my lips less red...so it seems to be working well with my lips. Are there any other creams you are able to get to try out? I would just brush your teeth more often...get an organic toothpaste or something at whole foods or that site where I get mine from...even if you get it on your lips it do ...
