You don’t take fluconazole for a week and then quit. Ever heard of drug resistance? If you do start taking something like fluconazole you better take as long as you can (”at least 2 weeks after candida is not detected in your fluids”). Otherwise it’s another weapon lost in the fight against candida. The concern about drug resistance is leading me to take it intravenously because pills’ bioavailability is only 90%. I still can’t get a doctor to even order a test so I can diagnose invasive candidiasis properly. I will probably just have to order fluconazole online. Studies suggest one would need to inject it IV. Not exactly sure but I think the Candida threads grow through anything their way. When I got Candida sexually it was at first penile candidiasis, then the threads grew through the tissues into the intestine and from there elsewhere in the body. This is really weird. I’ve been trying to figure out what exactly caused that. At the time I was drinking a lot of home-made lemonade with newly bought KAL brand Stevia as a sweetener. So 2 things could have happened: 1. KAL brand Stevia might have been cut with something that fed Candida to the point it formed biofilms, or 2. Yeah, one of the early things that I thought I had was Whipple’s disease and h. pylori. I thought I could take care of it by taking antibiotics. Spent $400 on PrevPac, a 2-week antibiotic course, but it didn’t seem to help. I probably should’ve tested for it first before taking it so I would  know if maybe it did help. Nystatin is one of those drugs that doesn’t get out of the intestine so in my understanding if you have candida in other parts of the body (likely with leaky gut) it may not help systemic candida.
