I am going to attempt a juice fast beginning next Monday. Due to all my obligations, I think it will just be a 7 day fast, giving me a few days to break right. V, not sure how you work but when I went vegetarian last year (since have reintroduced meat), I did it on a ’week by week’ plan. I intended to do a 21 day plan of eating vegetarian BUT I did it 7 days at a time. So, that made it more doable. When people asked I said I was doing 3 7 days plan. This way it didn’t seem huge. I buy nigari and mix it with distilled water. I mix the nigari in the water until it gets an ’oily’ feeling. It is not oil though. It is far less expensive than buying magnesium oil...and works as effectively. There is a forum and I do not remember the poster’s name but check under Magnesium. Hi, yep, a dry fast is no water at all, Actual nothing passes your lips. AND extemists would say no water ON your body either, at the very least no shampoo or soap ON your body. So you would shower (quickly) with just water and out. As for releasing the clothes, I have decided no matter what I can or cannot wear this summer, when it is time to put summer clothes out, what I am unable to wear is gone. BS does not have aluminum in it. Baking Powder does. I have searched high and low for baking soda that had aluminum. When I asked about it, think it was here on CZ, I was told that someone(s) mistyped. Baking powder is what you want to look for, without aluminum. I use regular Arm and Hammer’s, for whatever. I use it for my teeth cleaning, face scrub, was using it for deordant but it irritated my underarm skin. Hi 89866, I think I have read somewhere (cannot remember exact place to credit) that depending on your skins needs, you can use the castor oil mixed with whatever else oil that you want. I have used clay masks. I mix indian clay with some ACV and have also purchased another clay (do not remember name right now) that I will mix with ACV, (one or the other) and then put it on until it dries. Wash it off and my face feels fabulous. I have not ever purchased the DHC. I had thought of it, then decided to just add olive oil to my face, after showering. I use apricot oil now. I got the idea to use Olive oil on my face as a moisturizer from DHC. If they are selling it as a moisturizer and cleanser and whatever else, I thought why pay for that when I can go use what I had in the kitchen. I have been using it ever since, which was like Feb. I have been brushing my teeth with baking soda and gargling with H2O2 for well over a year now. I love the way my teeth look. The only time I have any kind of problems with the peroxide is if I ate something that may have caused sensitivity or ’open’ sore in my mouth. Then it is tender gargling with it. Sorry dude, gotta disagree with you here. Last January, I did a parasite cleanse. Before I did this, throughout the years, when I drank milk and had dairy products, I would get severe gas. I am not one to CLAIM a name to a dis-ease. Others would ask if I was lactose intolerant? I would say, whatever, I just feel discomfort when I ingest dairy products. I have NOT had a period since Feb. 2005. I am 45 years old, do not have ANY issues NOT having one. I had a partial hysterectomy and bye bye, periods! When it is above (I believe this is accurate temp.) 73 degrees, it becomes liquidified. Here in Michigan, in the summer, it becomes liquid. I choose not to put it in refrigerator. It really is a personal choice. If you are trying to use it while solid, you can put it in hot water...the container and let some melt and use it or put it in your mouth and let it melt. I have not completed a fast...Yet!Except I wanted to answer about cravings. Every year for Lent, I have given up sweets, pop (soda), and alcohol (which is no longer an issue...no alcohol since 10/2005). After the 40 days..plus holy week, of not eating sweets, drinking pop or alcohol, IF I didn’t have them, I did not crave them. I am/have been a single mom. I went back to work when he was 6 weeks old. I breast fed until he was about 3-4 months. I was not getting sleep and falling asleep at the switchboard (I was an information operator...”what city, please?” back then). I have done the MC for 9 days.This was the first time I had ever fasted. It worked quite well and allowed me energy to continue to work. I had detox reactions, naturally, yet I could still maintain doing my job. When I water fasted for 2 days, it was difficult to continue doing my job. One of the reasons, I stopped the water fast. So, I would say IMO that the water fast is, if a person can not work OR their jobs are not physical. The MC keeps a person functioning enough to continue to work and possibly light exercise. Keep the one from Walmart, it sounds sturdier. I received my rebounder as a gift from my parents, several years back...like `15? I know I have not used it consistently through the years but it is still as good as it was back then. So, if your budget only affords a Walmart brand right now, then get that and when you are ready to upgrade, if you feel the need to upgrade, then you can. Thanks for sharing, Laura. I am not too concerned though. I bathe in H2O2 (35%), rinse with (3%) and I am not having any problems with it, at all. OH and I breathe in and out through mouth, or if doing yoga, in the nose and out the mouth (but haven’t done that in a while)...TaiChi, also same breathing on some things. Why do you stay away from H2O2 because of amalgams? I have them and I use it to rinse my mouth everyday after brushing teeth. I got the nigari from Herbalhut.com, the first time. The second time, I found a better deal from http://www.herbalhealer.com. Nigari (magnesium chloride) is in flake form. You mix it up with purified (distilled, natural) water until you get the ’oily’ feeling. I have it in a glass bottle (and mean to take it more, just haven’t YET) in the bathroom. Hey Iam, if you are unable to do the SWF, it is suggested that you can do the Smooth Move tea, morning and night, instead of just night. Also, on your days (like weekends?) that are not so busy, incorporating the SWF might be a plan. It does clean the whole system, so is very beneficial, even if only twice a week (imo). Hey Laura! how are those beautiful little girls doing? I would add Baking soda...for teeth, deodorant, even cleans out a drain with white vinegar :D. I buy a 12 pound bag from Sam’s club for like $6. Hydrogen Peroxide 3%...for teeth, rinsing mouth, open cuts. About a buck or less depending on size. Also Hydrogen Peroxide 35%...for baths (tub and feet), there is also a H2o2 cleanse. I got a gallon size for about $25 (with a coupon), so maybe $35. OH and Epsom salts...for baths! and liver flushes (although I have not ever used ES for liver flush). What, about $4 for a 6 lb ...
