I have had mirena now for almost 5 years. At first, other than random periods, I had no problems. It’s only been in the past 2-3 years that I’ve started to have a lot of problems. I have constant acne, which I never had a problem with prior to mirena. I have anxiety that’s getting worse, mood swings, ovarian cysts, pain in my left side and sometimes even painful sex. I’m glad I found this site. It made me feel better to hear from other women that they too were experiencing these same problems.
