I am wondering if any of you might have a practitioner (of any sort - regular med, specialist, natural med, etc.) who was helpful in eradicating your Candida and is located within the Los Angeles area? I’ve been struggling with this issue, as my Candida was introduced two-fold .. first by a year of antibiotics and second, by the insertion of a cathether into my bladder during surgery in December. My response is ”Ohhh yeah it’s possible you have Candida in your bladder ... your symptoms are all the same as mine and my urine culture came back positive for Candida Glabrata.” I would suggest insisting on a culture rather than just a dipstick test and ask the doctor to have the culture grown for at least 30 days. This is an interesting question ... I would swear that it’s done the same thing to me ... but I almost chalk it up to all I’ve been through with doctor’s because of my symptoms. Can you be more specific about what the rash looks like? How large is it? Is it scaly? Are there raised bumps? Does it itch? The more information we have the better we can assist you. Based upon what you’ve shared though, since it is purple/brown, it does not sound like a candida infection. Candida is typically white or pink depending on where it is located externally. There are some parts of the body where a candida infection is hard to diagnose and most practitioners go on med history and symptoms. However, having it in the bladder and mouth, I was able to be diagnosed with a urine and mouth cultures by both a urologist and infectious disease (ID) specialist. Thanks so much for your message. They actually believe this strain (Candida Galbrata) was introduced through a foley cathether when I had surgery in December; thus beginning in the bladder. Glabrata is pretty notorious for that when people get catheters and have weakened immune systems ... which I did with regard to fungal infections. I was worn-down from all the antibiotics. For my Candida I’ve seen a homeopathic practitioner who does Meridian Stress Analysis and remedy recommendations. This is very interesting to me ... about six months prior to being diagnosed I began having pain in my lower thigh ... right behind and above where my knee is. It is only on one of my legs.
