As I understand it, negatively charged ions will attach to pollutants in the air, causing them to become heavier than air and drop to the ground. I’ve heard of a strictly negative ionizer causing a film over smooth objects and walls (that can then be cleaned). In the past I have used Colosan, which is probably similar. That’s a good question about making it yourself. It’s a temping enough proposition that I may just try. Basically you would start with a powdered magnesium and then ozonate it somehow. Ideally, you’d run an ozonator tube down underneath the powder and then have some contraption that spreads it across the bottom and let the ozone seep up through the powder. My machines are pretty quiet (Aranizers). I have a smaller one for my berdoom and a larger one for my office during the day. Since the one in the bedroom is smaller (output-wise) and we have a fairly large bedroom, I crank it up all the way. For my office, I have it set somewhere about midway. What you are seeing is the norm. You will need a welding oxygen tank in order to get it filled (unless you can get a perscription, of course, which for most of us is highly unlikely). I would much rather have my EXT-120 than my 2 air purifiers, because it is far more versitle. Buy a decent portable tent sauna and now you have a wide range of applications. Rectal and ear insufflation, sauna, ozonated water, bagging, etc. etc. It isn’t designed well for air purifying. The basic rule of thumb is that if you start caughing and wheezing because of the smell, then you are probably getting too much and you should open a window or use a fan. It would be fine to give ozonated water to pets or plants. Keeping the water cold (like in the refridgerator) will help the ozone to stay in the water longer. However, ozone still has a limited half-life and leaves the water rather quickly. That’s why, for therepuetic value, to drink it immediately after ozonating. I currently have a medical grade ozonator with oxygen tank, etc. However, for about a year I used a unit similar to your (200 to 400 mgs/hr). I’d say ozonating a gallon for 45 minutes to an hour would be good to burn off any chlorine and charge it up with ozone. I do know that if you ozonate tap water long enough it will oxidize all the chlorine in it. If you are doing a gallon at a time, you would need to ozonate it for far more than 5 minutes. Yes, this makes sense. I guess to make a more accurate statement: ”Syngery does not provide a calibration chart for their variable ozone output”. But when it is on full, then they know how much ozone is coming out at a given flow rate. The way you determine the flow of ozone is essentially the flow of air from the oxygen tank. Actually, these are different substances. Laughing gas is Nitrous Oxide, while NoX is Nitrogen Oxide. Subtle in the name, but they are in fact different. Good question. I just looked at the manual that came with it (which is essentially some pages stapled together). The front of the unit has a knob that allows you to adjust the ozone with 10 increments. But the manual does not give a calbibrated ozone output chart. I have not personally used this one, but based upon several postings from the maker of them, it looks like it is a medical grade ozonator. The way I define ”hobby grade” ozone would be when you use a non-medical ozonator that has no air pump, and therefore you use an oxygen tank with it. I’m not sure if I have a decent answer to that. All I know is that I personally found it too difficult to find times throughout the day to either ozonated the water or have an empty stomach. You are correct in that you heat up the sauna first and turn on the ozonator just before getting in. Otherwise you would probably get a very strong wiff of ozone when getting in. As for how long to wait before drinking the ozone water? Basically it depends on what you have eaten. With the ozone suit, you take a hot bath or shower to open your pores, and then get inside the suit and pump ozone inside. Yes, I do ear insufflation. I think maybe I have gotten use to the noise. You definitely can hear it, but coming through the tube the sound is sort of muffled. If you are sensative to sounds, then it could be a problem. However, I only do ear insufflation for 3 minutes in each ear. For someone doing 15 minutes or more, that could probably get annoying. I will say that only doing it for 3 minutes in each ear does the job for me. Interesting! I also have heard that Mark Spitz trains in an ozonated swimming pool. If enough high profile people catch onto this stuff, it starts to chip away at society’s skepticism. Maybe one day the population will rise up and kick the parma industry out on it’s proverbial arsss!!! As I understand it, these HBC’s are essentually pressurized oxygen as oppossed to ozone.
