Unfortunately, my skin type is of irish descent. I grew up and still live in a very sunny region. I doubt their exists any kind of elusive diet fix for genetic predisposition to non melanoma skin cancers. Just for clarity, the iodine i applied was 5% lugols, on occasion i would apply sski during the day if i was going to be out, as it would be less noticeable. It took a good month of daily applications to see results. I feel the DMSO gel was really worth the effort, i started applying that around week 2. You may want to really consider doing frequent Epsom salt(magnesium sulphate) and baking soda baths along with the iodine protocol. Which would add many benefits, aiding detox would likely be one of them. Plus most people are magnesium deficient, and it is often hard for many people to become sufficiently magnesium saturated via oral supplementation. Where is the study reference for comments about high iodine causing goiter and thyroid cancer, especially in the presence of thyroid antibodies? Wondering how high of a iodine % solution is possible with alcohol base? What advice do you guys have, my mother was diagnosed with osteoporosis, she has been on iodine for about 9 months due to a oversized thyroid(goiter i guess?) pretty sure she has been hypo for ages. She takes selenium and has taken large doses of calcium for years and years unfortunately. Basically it seems iodine saturation would help reduce absorption of fluoride, to what extent it isn’t clear, and thus it is still best to try and reduce fluoride consumption. I was thinking about this due to one of Dr. Tennet’s videos where he talks about the prevalence of poorly functioning thyroids in our population, and he theorized that since many of us grow up on fluoridated water, and lack of iodine, the fluoride gets into our thyroid and basically we have fake thyroid hormone production.   [End]

I definitely agree with that sentiment. People should make dietary(including cleanses) and lifestyle changes first, follow the iodine protocol and only when these have been exhausted, look at something like bio-identical hormone supplementation. I was just bringing it up more to get feedback and as a potential option for some people if previous things aren’t providing their optimal health. I think the point is there is quite a bit clinical research showing the benefits of desiccated thyroid that modern medicine has largely ignored. Dr barnes ran a 20 year study with some 1500 patients treated with his method, he found in his group which he didn’t make any dietary changes to(just desiccated thyroid), that they showed huge improvements in many significant aspects vs what should have been statistical rates of heart disease/diabetes and other major cancers, in his treated groups these conditions were nearly non existent.
