I think my job is causing stress to the extent that I am feeling the physical manifestations of it. I like my job - it’s the best one I’ve ever had, but my boss can be demanding at times. Yep, it solidifies at temps below 76 degrees. I live in Southern Lousisiana, so we only get about 2 weeks of winter, too! If I leave my CO in the house during the summer, it begins to solidify, due to the A/C being on, so I keep in in the garage, that way it doesn’t solidify at all, not even overnight. I had a similar experience a few years ago when taking cayenne capsules for throat problems. I found that taking it with a LOT (30+ ounces) of water really made a difference. I had made the mistake of just chugging the capsule down with a few sips of water - ugh! I’ll never do that again. I also like BOB’s suggestion to try the liquid. Last week I began eating a new cereal, something called Uncle Sam. It has flax seeds in it, 2000mg. per 1 c. serving, to be exact. I liked it, as it actually tasted like Kellogg’s Corn Flakes (which have virtually no nutritional value). The Uncle Sam says it has 9 grams of fiber/serving. Last week when I called, I was merely told to be patient and wait for my order. After it still didn’t arrive today, nine full business days after it was shipped, I called again. I called their toll free number last week and was told that I should receive it this week. When I was told that, I assumed (incorrectly, I now see) that ”this week” meant early in the week. No, no enemas. I weigh 112# and drink about 70 oz. of water a day, plus a cup or two of herbal tea. I walk for 30-45 minutes at least 5 days a week, in addition to strength training 5 days a week. Guess I’ll just have to be patient.   [End]

In the mean time, what can I do to alleviate my constipation? I am SO uncomfortable. Nothing seems to help. My friend’s husband had one a few months ago, and his was around $600 (their insurance covered most of it). Since my husband and I only have basic insurance, the cost is 100% our responsibility, which is fine with me. I spend $360/year on the Pill, so really, it’s just about 2 years worth of pills. I’m hoping we can find a reliable doctor who offers a payment plan of some sort. That would be great.   [End]

I feel the same way. I have to feel as though I’m dying in order to go to a doctor. I don’t trust them at all. As for my dog, I don’t like her to get shots, either, but as you said, it’s necessary for kenneling. I read a book called ”The Last Chance Dog.” It’s by a vet who decided to practice homeopathic veterinary medicine rather than going the conventional route. She mentions how awful vaccines can be for dogs. It’s really scary. I need to find a homeopathic or alternative vet in my area. I want what’s best for my dog.   [End]

I want to try Schulze’s Superfood powder. I notice on the website he says to mix this with fresh apple juice, etc. Does anyone know if orange juice can be substituted, or is too acidic? Thanks so much for the information - I really appreciate it. I ordered #1 yesterday, along with the Digestive formula (it sounds like a good thing to have on hand). Once I get everything working ”normally” I want to try using his formulae #1 & #2. It sounds simple enough, and his products are more affordable and seem more reliable than many other products on the market. Have you tried his Superfood formula? It sounds interesting.
