From a strictly chemical standpoint, epsom salts is just magnesium and sulfur. Magnesium is a nutrient required by plants, as is sulfur; both in trace (very small)amounts. If there is a deficiency of either then the plant will not strive very well. I personally don’t believe that it is strictly a chemical thing, but would accept that it is an ionic (electromagnetic) thing. I just don’t have any proof of it. My LDL is 76 but my HDL is low at 47 giving a ratio of 1.6 Any ideas about how to raise it? I am excercising every other day and eating no trans-fats and no meats. I’m using olive oil on my foods and eating mainly grains, fruits and vegetables. I’m taking 1000mg of niacin with 20mg of Advicor daily. I also take 20mg of Policosanol daily. I’m also taking psyllium fiber and lecithin but nothing seems to raise my HDL. My cholesterol is 142 and triglycerides are 96. I have had one MI and a stent inserted a year ago.
