A histology study of axillary skins of people with bromhidrosis showed that their appocrine glands are numerous and larger compared with those who dont have it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/8764717/ Could this be what we are dealing with? That we are just born genetically different? If this is the case, do you guys know of any medicine that could de-activate or block the glands, even temporarily? I did a 6-day waterfast and seems like it did not do any difference. Well, our body has taken years to accumulate toxins, it wont take overnight to cleanse out. I read in a book that it takes 3 months for our blood and 11 months for our cells to renew. The author told of a client who had b.o. and was healed after a year of weekly 24-36 hrs water fast. He also went thru one 7 day and one 10 day water fast. Another author said that there’s no benefit from 24 hr fasts as our body would still feed from stored fats within 24 hrs from start of fasting and this is the general theory.   [End]

Same with me, even baking soda worked for a while until it stopped. I’ll keep you posted if I’ll have it again. I have to wait for a few months to allow time for healing. There are risks in surgery so we should be very careful in choosing the doctors and clinics, this I learned from my previous experience. But even published medical studies did not report 100% success rate, some had as high as 90+ percent which means that majority of the respondents were completely cured from brom. I am quite puzzled by this. Many times both my underarms smell but there were instances when only my right underarm smells, then after a few hours without doing anything, the odor is transferred to my left. Sometimes, my left always smell for a week or two, none at my right then my right would smell for another week or two and none at my left. This makes me think that the odor is really coming from the inside or something internal triggers it cos how could the odor transfer to the other side without me doing anything. Thanks a lot. You’re right, now that I found this website, I kind of regret quitting my job. Had I come accross here earlier, I wouldn’t have left. Oh i forgot to mention that i read in another website that for some who had underarm surgeries, they experienced compensatory hyperhidrosis or that the odor transferred to other parts of the body. I think I can live with that as long as I can raise my arms. I just found out that in multicultural societies, individual body odors due to differences in diets are accepted, but generally underarm odor is frowned upon.   [End]

Thank you for your comments. I had it done in Thailand. I am planning to have it next at a renowned hospital in S. Korea. They charge $1,600 for ultrasonic glands aspiration. There are published studies about these kind of surgeries in Japan and other Asian countries where they had 60 to 90% success. However, as I recall, my problem started at puberty. I wouldn’t have accumulated as much toxin that time as I have now. But the odor is the same as then. I had laser treatment and sweat glands aspiration a month ago. It costed about US$700 but it did not help a bit. They said it would reduce at least 50% of the odor but did not deliver as advertised. The doctor did show me what were removed from my armpit though I dont really know what they were. He said those are sweat glands and fats. Hello NotTwo Thank you for your message. I don’t think it depends on my diet. I’ve been on a vegan and no-dairy diet for over 2 months now but the odor is still there. I’ve been suffering for about 15 years now since I hit puberty and the underarm odor never really go away. Hah this is so tiring. What do you do when you’re not comfortable even to be with your family. You’re just so scared of having people get close to you because of the reactions you get from them, even if it’s your family.
