Hi Irene, The only thing I do know is as you flush out your gallbladder/liver, you release toxins. You liver is the seat of your emotions, so as the toxins are released, you sometimes go through a LOT of emotions. Maybe the same thing is true in a sense with oil swishing. There’s all different kinds of oils to use. Just don’t try Crisco! I bought Avocado and Hazelnut Oil this week and am loving experimenting. These oils are cold pressed. I guess. I certainly do. I’n scared to leave it out of the refrigerator in case it goes rancid. What I do is, I take a large cup, fill it a third-full with boiling water, then stand a metal soup ladle in it. A small chunk of coconut oil takes about 40 seconds to dissolve inside the warmed metal. It’s very easy. I also use the same ladle to warm the sesame oil for my gargling and massage and the sunflower oil for my swishing.   [End]

Today I went to two heath food stores looking for Oregano Oil and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the price. For a tiny, tiny bottle, the cost is $30.00. Would you give me a bio of how you both became interested in oil pulling and the results you have achieved? How long as oil pulling been around and who in the world stumbled upon this as such a great way to remove toxins????? Too bad it can’t remove excess pounds, too.
