There is excellent evidence that genetics is ”plastic.” In other words it responds to our thoughts and our environment and acts as a kind of recording media. If one believes they need meat then.... There are ways to fail on any diet. Without a full analysis of what was being eaten we have nothing to go on. Most of the people I know who failed as vegans did so because they didn’t understand the relationship between soil and plants. If the food is not highly mineralizing one is set up to fail long term. Well the trouble is your comparing apples to Jupiter. A fetus does not have a known life. No self identity. It is a potential life. There is indication that the soul does not interface with the flesh until long after the acceptable time period that most abortions are performed. An animal though is alive and aware, already born.
