I just wanted to let you know that my grandmother had her gallbladder out at a young age, I think 20’s or 30’s. She is now over 90 years old, lives in her own house by herself and doesn’t need much help from others (except to pay bills because she doesn’t read english very well) and walks a mile to church every day. A woman with whom I used to work had that surgery. She said that if she could go back, she would not have done it. It was very painful. I just came back from running my morning errands in the new shoes with the bumpy inserts. I don’t have a car, so I walk about a total of 3 miles during my errands. I recently bought a pound of ”sweet apricot kernals”. I had no idea they had arsenic in them. I made a hummus out of them by soaking and peeling them, and mixing with raw sesame tahini, lemon, olive oil, garlic, cumin, and sea salt. You know, if you get a cheap voltmeter from Radio Shack or similar store, you can measure the energy in foods. We saw this on a PBS show called Zoom. You have to be sure to get one that measures very low voltages. Apples are my son’s favorite to poke up with the meter. I think you can run a small light bulb off a grapefruit. Eczema could be caused by many things. You should visit the eczema forum. Generally, there is some toxin, either extrnal or internal to which her body is having an allergic reaction. Some things to start with may be: Make sure you only wash her face with distilled water. If you are breast-feeding, you may need to modify your diet - reduce sugar first, then dairy and wheat. LOL That is funny, but true. I am a druggie for food now too. When I was younger I remember that I never really felt hungry, but I ate all the time because I wanted to gain weight because people made fun of me. Now that I am older and wiser, I know that all that crap isn’t good for me, but I feel hungry all the time. Yes, I have been struggling with my withdrawl symptoms for months! Your wife is very smart not to fall into the peer pressure of stuffing yourself until you are about to burst to try to gain weight. (not to mention that she must be a patient person to be able to handle 4 children!) I fell into this trap and I was eating HUGE amounts of food with NO change in my size. You know, I do think Banana Republic runs even larger than most. I have not been able to even fit into a 0 from there in YEARS! I am living in Japan for the next few years, where I am still a size 7 (sometimes 9). I am stocking up now; I told my husband that I will have to buy a lifetime supply of clothing while we are here. If you live near a city that has a Chinatown, you can look there for clothing. I enjoyed reading your message because I have been say the same thing to people and they don’t believe me! I have been the same height and weight for 18 years. My old jeans in high school were generally size 5, but I even had some marked 7 or 9. Now, I am lucky if a size 0 fits me. I was waiting for my daughter to get out of school the other day when one of the other mothers said to me ”wow, you just keep getting skinnier and skinnier”. Thanks for your response. I am a new raw foodist (this year) and I have many uncookbooks and they don’t seem to be concerned about food combining very much. (I do ocassionally eat a little cooked food on the weekends because I am still addicted to it and the rest of my family is not raw). I will be sure not to eat fruit with cooked foods. Some day, I would like to have a more ideal diet than the typical raw diet (maybe after I eat all the seeds and nuts in my freezer:-) Soooo much to learn, Tina.   [End]

What do you think of making raw nut/seed bars using soaked seeds and/or nuts with a sweetener such as raw honey or agave nectar? is this bad food combining? Do you know of alternatives to make these bars palatable, or should I use the rest of my seeds in salads instead of making bars out of them (in which case I have about 3 years left of seeds in my freezer)? Maybe I should try sticking some pineapple in a food processor and using that instead? Maybe I am eating too many seeds anyway. Thanks, Tina.   [End]
