My son caught a cold when he was 4 years old that completely locked his lungs down. Humidifiers can also increase the moisture in your house, allowing mold counts to grow and directly causing difficulties in breathing because of allergies or asthma. It was a scary time when my son had asthma. We about lost him twice at the hospital with his asthma attacks. I was scared silly that if we didn’t change I would lose him in a future asthma attack, plus the medicines the doctors gave us scared the crap out of me. You are wise to be leary about using this medication when you are pregnant. Go to your library and check out the book called Allergy and Asthma Cure by Dr. Fred Pescatore. If your library doesn’t carry it, have them interlibrary loan it in from another library. He has a whole nutritional guideline that will help open your airways. The advice in his book really cleared my son’s asthma up. We haven’t used any asthma medication for over 4 years since following the program in this book. Scientist are discovering that asthma is caused by candida or fungal overgrowth in the body. Once the candida or fungus becomes overgrown in the lungs asthma begins. All inhaled corticosteroids are known to cause fungal overgrowth in the mouth (thrush). I agree! We made this change in our home too. It is amazing (once you do the research)how dangerous cleaners are to touch, let alone to breathe. We have changed to all natural soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotions and even house cleaners (vinegar etc.). Good move on your part!   [End]

Allergy and Asthma cure by Fred Pescatori M.D. This is a wonderful book by a doctor who had terrible asthma and was able to rid himself of all his symptoms by getting rid of his candida overgrowth. My son started getting sick with ear infections at the age of 5 months, and was frequently prescribed antibiotics each time he had one.
