It certainly does sound like depression with Obssessive Compulsive Disorder Fjeldmouse, I just thought it best to rule out dementia first. All the relatives are a dead give away I think too. It’s probably a bit more positive though as if she can get help there is more liklihood I think of her ’normalising’ her life still, whereas dementia is more likely to be unalterably degenerative. Hi Fjeldmouse. There are others here who can help you with natural ways of helping depression, I hope they check in and reply. There are many nutrients which if depleted in the body could be part of the problem. It is worth getting her blood checked if she would at least consent to a ’passive’ visit to the doctors rather than one to discuss her depression. I would suggest that to get her to get checked out you support her decision not to discuss her feeling sad at the doctors, just to get the blood tests and find out the best natural supplements to use to help if needed. Stress can do some weird things, but usually if you have physical pain there is a physical reason for it. Do you know anything about fasting?
