The body does renew the skin during an extended fast. The skin is an important part of the elimination system. I had stretch marks from my obesity before fasting last year and expected more stretch marks from losing the weight so quickly with fasting. Try and stay strong and stay off the antibiotics. They will act against the action of the fast, they are a poison to all bacteria and therefore basically a poison to our bodies. I’m no expert here but I do believe that if you snack during your fast, and your body takes in the nutrition, then it will change it’s system back to ingestion. Yes Tama girl it’s great preparation. I don’t think as some do that preparing for a fast is necessary, but preparation can make the fast go more smoothly. I would reccommend preparing on a raw diet (juice fasting qualifies as a raw diet) before fasting. err, does it have milk in it? If so no. Some kind of nut milk freshly made would be okay, but even that I wouldn’t suggest after a fast of any longer than 5-7 days. Stick to fresh fruit or freshly made juice. Melons go well in the blender just on their own, or if you want to bend the food combining rules a bit add some strawberries, and even a banana. All of that would be okay but not milk. Be careful of anything processed there’s very little that doesn’t have hidden extras in it that you just don’t want immediately following a fast. I have little doubt you could do one long fast to complete your goal. However I have only seen a few recorded fasts like this and would certainly recommend finding a professional to supervise you, at least beyond say 50-70 days. You can also achieve the same results by doing shorter fasts, maybe still very long ones in themselves, and eating raw food in between. I agree with you absolutely Sacristia that everyone needs to make their own mind up. The body uses it’s own supplies of water when dry fasting though so detox does not go slower but actually faster. Dry fasting doesn’t induce headaches. The body can comfortably go without water for many days with no discomfort at all. I myself have gone seven days with no food or water and had only benefit from the experience not any problems at all. I think the jury is out on what causes the leg pain. It could be toxins mobilising in your legs or repairing going on of some unseen ailment like varicose veins or something. Usually anything flaring up on a fast is a sign that the body is hard at work trying to fix the problem. Do think about changing to a full water fast. Whatever the metagenics claim they can do I guarantee it won’t compare to a water fast. You are experiencing some detox symptoms. Your body uses methods it is already used to using for detox, and excema is one of those for some people. It can also set off Anxiety symptoms but that is usually for the better too. Whatever the body does while fasting, it is also trying to heal that condition as well and return your body to health. You aren’t doing a complete water fast however, while eating and taking the metagenics. Especially eating while ’fasting’ is not fasting at all but a starvation diet and not to be advised at all. Hmm, I suppose if we take ketosis to be the state of internal nutrition, it can get ’stronger’ when there is more healing or detox to be done. It may need to provide us with more fuel or protein for example for certain healing tasks. The choice to exercise may have the same effect, keeping our metabolism at a higher rate to accomplish the activity we choose to continue. But the state of ketosis itself is fairly passive, in that it just provides the fuel and nutrition needed for the body to function in it’s various tasks while fasting.
