When using a 5% solution, milliliters (ml) or cubic centimeters (cc) are used to measure instead of drops. That is why we use a syringe for measuring. The syringe has the measurements imprinted on it and it is easier to get a consistent amount each time you measure. Keep in mind that some syringes are labeled in cc rather than ml, but 1 cc = 1 ml.
