lizm i had mine inserted when my daughter was 8wks old, and nomatter what your dr tells you, it does decrease your milk supply. i had no problems bf our oldest daughter, until i started working and having to pump. with our baby girl, i was staying home and not having to pump and nearly immedietely i started having problems making enough for her. i had to put her on formula completely at 3.5 months. get another opinion and find a way to get it taken out. even if you have to lie to them or get forceful with them to do it.
