Well I got it removed today. The dr asked why I wanted it out so soon. I told him that I've been bleeding for 23 days this month alone, and it seems to be hurting me more then helping me. I also told him that since I've gotten in my Depression has gotten alot wore and then he stoped me and said "well that has nothing to do with the IUD, if you have Depression you just have depression. The hormones are localized.." and I just said "yeah ok, I just want it out". So he removed it, I didn't even feel it and it took 2 seconds. I find it funny that all these drs want to deny that the IUD has anything to do with depression...doesn't it say in the Mirena info they give you that there is a chance that it can cause Depression or make it worse? After all these complaints don't you think that they would be more open to the fact that it could be causing all these side effects? He did say something on the lines of that people are starting to realize that Mirena isn't as great as they thought it would be. I wasn't sure if he ment the users or the dr's. I should have asked him. I already am noticing a difference, only really that I don't feel the cramping and pressure where it use to be. The dr prescribed me Seasonal which I was on before. The one he prescribed me now he said is a little different because it causes less spotting in between periods. So I'm looking forward to getting back to normal. I will be a little dissapointed if I still have all these problems, and I wonder if all these symptoms are just in my head. I guess I will have to just wait and see.
