Yes, not only are we detoxing our physical bodies when on a juice fast, but we also detox our emotional and spiritual bodies...  Imagine how clear minded, how spiritually lightened you will feel at the end of your fast.  Your emotional and spiritual bodies need to heal and detox as much as your physical body.  The more you feel horrible right now, your highs will be just as intense once the detoxing has passed and it WILL pass.

What you are going through is normal and should not frighten you, it will pass!  Once you understand this, some of your fear hopefully will evaporate.

When I get like this on a fast, I immediately begin pampering myself... whatever it takes... And I prepare for this prior to the fast, because I know it's going to happen... I take long soaks in the tub with essential oils, I use Flower Essences, I light candles, read books, oil paint, play in the dirt (garden). I take my camera out and shoot pics that appeal to me... I do things that stroke my spirit and take my mind off how damned bad I feel.  Usually it works like a charm.

P.S.  I went back and caught that you're doing the MC fast... still fasting will detox your emotional and spiritual bodies, regardless of what fasting modality is being used.  Some of the information in the above links will still apply to your endeavor.  Have you considered, perhaps, juice fasting instead of doing the MC?  Just a thought...
