Ruth, I just happened to be looking around at the U.C. pages, because that is what I have, when I saw your message. I felt bad that no one answered you. I have had U.Colitis for two and a half years. Im 68 yrs old so this rottin disease is ruining my retirement.
I have spent hunderds of hours on the net. Thousands of dollars on 'junk' like Molcure, and thousands more on Doctors that do not know the latest research. After all of that the best advice I can give you is to go to ebay and get a copy of the book, 'Breaking the Vicious Cycle' by Elaine Gottschall. I was on the diet for 4 - 5 months and was the best I had been in years. I foolishly went off the diet during the holidays. The call of mashed potatos and gravy was just to strong, I'm now back on Prednazone etc. etc.
wishing I had never gone off the diet. I will be back on it just as soon as my supply of almond flour arrives.
I hope you find the book and diet as helpful as I do.
