I am very sorry that you experienced abuse, and it's important that you understand that you are not alone, and that there are, indeed, physiological repsonses to long-term abuse.

There is no "magic bullet" in the form of one protocol, a group of supplements, or medications that will "cure" the damages created by childhood abuse and neglect.  This is a "Whole Self" experience - emotional, verbal, physical, spiritual, etc.........so, the whole Self (Self = soul) is harmed and needs attention.

First, I would recommend engaging in strong counseling therapy with a specialist in childhood trauma.  That will address the emotional/behavioral damages.

Then, I would recommend speaking to a holistic practitioner and cutting out refined sugars, as well as reducing animal proteins.  More fruits and vegetables, and discuss supplementation with the practitioner - each person is an individual and not every protocol or supplement is going to work the same for each person, across the boards.

Exercise........move your body, each day, even if it's dancing in your bedroom, alone, for 10 minutes.

Plenty of water.

Meditate.  Use breathing awareness and your own personal "meditation" technique to get yourself into the present, comfortably, and safely.

Journal your experiences - get that emotional venom OUT of your system.

Then, do something different that you've never done, before, but always wanted to.  Learn how to play an instrument, or paint.  Learn how to do something that you really want to do that will provide a focus.

Recovery and healing from childhood traumas is challenging and very hard WORK, on every level.  Constipation can be only one effect - most adults with auto-immune disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, etc.) are women who experienced prolonged trauma, either during their childhoods and/or with intimate partners.  It's not discussed, much, because most people don't understand this fact, nor do they wish to acknowledge that there's no such thing as a "Magic Protocol" that cures everything.  There's literally no such thing - it's a physical, emotional, nutritional, spiritual (NOT religious), and sexual approach that is part of the Healing Journey.

Best wishes to you as you begin your Healing Journey.
