What most doctors who are not Iodine researchers do not know is that TSH has another function in the body... to activate sodium Iodide symporters. The pump that gets Iodide into cells.
A higher TSH is a normal and expected part of the high Iodine protocol.
If your free numbers are great and you are feeling fine, then there is no issue.
The Iodine reseachers found that the TSH settled back down (presumable because the receptors were filled) after 6-12 mos.
