I have to concur with all who have gone to Dr Cahill in NYC.
I wish I knew about him years ago too. I am now on day 8 (can't wait to be done) of my treatment for E Histolytica and for the past 3 days have had the first (literally) normal bowel movements I have had in 30 something years.
I spent the first decade of my life in South Africa and started having digestive issues and fatigue around age 7.
I thought my digestive issues were just my lot in life...A result of gluten intolerance. Over the years I have had to cut out wheat, dairy, fruit etc....And still I've had fatigue, ongoing digestive issues, and a litany of other health issues. I am now totally questioning that assumption....And thinking that maybe it was the reverse.
This dramatic turn in my digestion is quite remarkable.
If you are suffering in this way, please, please, don't waste your time, life and money. Find a doctor who does the rectal swab test and who is thoroughly versed in identifying parasites. All other tests have a notoriously high rate of false negatives. Knowledge of 'how to treat' is also key.
If you have EH, it is my understanding that it takes 2 medications to successfully get rid of it - to treat both stages of the amoeba. This is what I have been prescribed.
BTW, I was also diagnosed with Blasto some time ago. I would imagine I still have it but am getting better despite the Blasto.
Good luck to any of you suffering. I hope you are able to get the proper care.
God Bless! (:
A brief overview of my longstanding issues that are resolving.
Severe intermittent fatigue.
Appendix pain. (gone day 8 on meds...Apparently this is very common w.EH and some other parasites)
Variations of light pale foul smelling frothy stools...Often with fat floating on the surface of the water. (now dark brown, well formed, and solid)
Horrible gas. (wayyyy less)
Skin rash with papules and pustules - thought this was a version of rosacea but it is totally clearing up.
Gluten, dairy, fructose intolerant - Have not tested this yet.
...That's just a brief overview.
PS - Obviously I am not a medical professional and am therefor only sharing my experience.
