Vaseline and mouthwash? No offense, but I'm sure vaseline, aquaphor, carmex, etc. were EVERYONE's first choice when they got this. I used aquaphor (basically vaseline but better) for a straight year and while it alleviated the symptoms, it never ridded me of EC entirely. What you're describing as healing sounds like treating the symptoms. Of course when you constantly smother your lips with an ointment the crusts won't form, but the condition probably won't go away entirely either. More power to you if it works, but I think you'll find yourself at a standstill like the millions of other people on here who tried that. Oral hygienes fine and dandy, but if you're using one with alcohol in it and you have this condition, you're probably doing more harm than good. I don't mean to be negative, but I wish it were this simple
