Hi All,

I was diagnosed with Strongyloides. probably disseminated.
The Doc at Hospital of tropical diseases gave me 1 dose of Invermectin and discharged me.That was about a month ago.
I took the med and passed very loose pink/orange stools for a couple of days, but what has worried me is my cough, which I have had for years....got worse. Instead of being a loose productive cough [I used to cough up tea- spoons of flem each day] it is now a deep wheezy tight cough. my lungs do not seam to have the elasticity to cough up the flem any more. My doc has had me on Antibiotics for a chest infection month and this has not touched it.

In short, the Invermectin has made my chest worse not better. Anybody know what is going on? Is it the die off of the strongyloides in my lungs? or is it that they have not died off at all and are just hoping mad?

Anybody else had experience with Invermectin and knows what to expect ?
