I've never undergone Lasik before but from what I know, certain users have become blind from undergoing it. I think there's an eye examination you have to undergo and that will reveal whether you can undergo Lasik or not.

Then again, why not go for Ortho-K instead? You sleep with the lenses in your eyes and then you remove them during the day. To me, seems far less dangerous than being stuck with permanent lenses you can't remove. :p
