4 days post-removal

I had the Mirena out on 9/11, and I am already feeling SO much better. The anxiety and the insomnia seems to have gone away, my feet don't hurt in the morning, my mouth is much less dry. I have slept in my bed, even with my baby and husband, for the first time in 7 months without being too disturbed to sleep or feel any anxiety. All of my problems had started 11/1/07, exactly 2 weeks after the Mirena was put in (3 months after baby was born and I had felt great). Everybody I consulted (doctors, therapists, naturopath doctors) did not think it was the Mirena, but post partum anxiety, post traumatic stress, and adrenal fatigue. Except, I have not been getting better with all of their treatment. I thank you all for sharing your stories and helping me know that I had to have the Mirena removed to get better.

I am still outraged by the lack of knowledge in the medical community about these side effects and I am so relieved to now have a real answer as to what my problem was. The amount of suffering and money I have spent is crazy...I feel for all of you and hope we are able to at least get our symptoms included on the manufacturer information. I hope to soon loose this "pregnant" looking belly and get all my worned down health back. I think the it is true that these symptoms we get is from various stages of adrenal fatigue, but it was all caused by the Mirena. Following a treatment plan for adrenal fatigue will help heal. Natural treatment has kept me floating all these months, but I just wasn't getting better. In 4 days now post-mirena, I finally am. Thank you! Tweet
