Thank you all for the information
Thanks, Newport, and EVERYONE for offering the information that you have - it takes some time and effort to find and post these sites for the benefits of others and I very, very much appreciate it.
The flare (what the medical community calls it) is when the joint tissues become inflamed and the individual experiences other rheumatic symptoms - fever, chills, etc. Since
RA is considered and autoimmune disease, it's fighting these symptoms and the body's desire to destroy itself that's at the core of the war. I've been trying to work through a flare for the past 6 weeks and I'm determined to cope with this and not give in to the pain.
Lyme might be a great avenue to explore, Newport - God knows, we live in Tick City here in South Jersey! I've never seen so many ticks, chiggers, and other blood-suckers, in my life.
Again, thank you all from my heart. It's very encouraging to experience such unconditional support.
BTW, Wombie, it's been fired for some time, but I just haven't gotten around to mailing it off. UGH. This week, for certain, I promise! :)
