Re: Who has had their amalgams removed?
I had my
Amalgams removed in Mexico in late July. I do not believe that I should use a chelator. If I will use a chelator it might be later. There was a study of people who worked in chlor-alkali plants and had been exposed to mercury vapor in the work place. Three years after they ceased working with mercury, their urine mercury levels were normal (compared to general population).
Another study I found indicated that after chelate use, dentists did worse on visual-motorskill tests and memorizing lists of words. The chelator temporarily elevated the mercury levels in the blood and the mercury affected their central nervous systems.

My dentist in Mexico numbed a quarter of my mouth at a time and took four days 2-3 hours a day to remove & replace 12 fillings. I arrived down there on Sunday, got my teeth cleaned on a Monday, got my last
Amalgams removed on Friday morning, and left Saturday morning. It cost $150 per tooth - ten teeth. Was fortunate to find a hotel for under $35 off-season. I walked to the clinic each day as I did want to pay for a rental car there. I emailed the clinic later and asked what material they put in my teeth. I got an answer: tooth colored resin. I asked how much a crown might cost if I will need a crown. I got an answer: $500.
