It's good that you are in Europe and can buy Champex. It will be much more convenient to swallow 2 capsules after each meal than the 7 Odor Cleanse I have to take. The products are identical, just agaricus bisporus mushroom extract. Same raw material, different supplement distributors.
I was always prone to constipation and gas when I was a kid, no odor problem that I was aware of. I ate a lot of sugary foods, never gained weight from it. Not just homemade, though, junky stuff from the store, cream donuts, etc. I was filling up with chemicals and didn't know better. Never could tolerate soda pop even in my teens noticed pain and bloating from it so rarely drank it back then. Haven't had anything carbonated since.
In my 20's I had an appendectomy and the severe digestive problems and body odor began after the surgery. This has gone on for over 15 years. I needed lactaid pills and acidophilus for 6 months after the surgery. Two years ago I stopped eating anything with sugar in it, except fruit, no refined sugar and honey only once in a while. This was done because of the leaky gut symptoms I was noticing. One year ago I stopped eating anything processed. I found out that glucose-fructose, which is liquid invert sugar, and high fructose corn syrup all cause IBS pain according to researchers. I stopped eating anything that contained this and had to buy organic bread to avoid it. I feel no pain in my gut as long as I avoid that horrible modified sugar. In my reading from Dr Whitaker and Dr David Williams I found out that the food industry uses glucose-fructose in everything they make because it is cheaper than white sugar and causes uncontrollable cravings for sweets. So you eat more of their fake food products--they make more money. HFCS has been proven to cause type II diabetes. The other food additives (artificial vanilla, polysorbate 80) give me headaches. So, since switching to a half organic diet, I have no gut pain or headaches anymore. Even Crest/Colgate toothpaste was giving me headaches. I am not a vegetarian. I don't drink milk anymore, sometimes cook with it. I use non-homogenized organic milk when I do. Homogenized milk gives me gut pain even with enzymes. I eat naturally raised meat/chicken/turkey and only wild caught fish. I eat a lot of fats and oils and generally a good homeade from scatch diet. Takeout food would give me pain from head to gut. I eat a 2 egg omelet with onions, chopped garlic, zucchini, red peppers and mushrooms every morning and Odor Cleanse takes care of the smells. Even curry is no match for Super Hero Agaricus Bisporus!
So enzymes and probiotics made me digest better but still had odors. Chorella and alkalizing minerals helped but didnt eliminate the smell. My doctor tested my blood and found low levels of trace minerals: zinc, molybdenum, vanadium, copper, manganese. Told me to take supplement. Some of these minerals are responsible for detoxification of certain chemicals and I was deficient. The supplement didn't help the odor. But I noticed my armpits smelled better when I switched to zinc picolinate. I guess I can't absorb zinc citrate. Clinical studies have shown that zinc deficient people absorb the picolinate form much better. You shouldn't take it more than 2 or 3 months though since picolinic acid can build up.
So the supplements helped quite a bit in terms of halting digesting pain and lessening odor a bit, but only an improvement that I could notice. Other people still couldn't stand my smell. Odor Cleanse turned that all around and also has cut down the bloating I had. Seemed like anything I ate made my stomach expand. I expect my intestines to completely heal with long term use of the odor cleanse mushroom extract. They are so much better now. If I truly do have leaky gut, then the extract must be neutralizing the chemicals in the intestines before they cross into my blood, and keeping my blood clean. That is how the research says it works: neutralizes putrid digestive odors and purifies the blood stream.
