Re: Day 1 done! It feels like such a HUGE victory!

The distractions are really hard to put up with, especially starting out fasting. When I first read about it and tried it out I couldn't go more than a day or two due to always thinking about food. It would be there on television, which I couldn't avoid coz my kids would have killed me! lol And ads by the roadside, and of course if you go out half the shops are screaming out for you to buy their foods. Jingles go around in your head and it's so annoying. And all too often your head gets turned around by all these conflicting influences and you break the fast or worse go and gorge yourself.
This doesn't last though, keep trying! The more you fast the easier it gets, both on your body and especially on your mind. The cravings are more in our head anyway, so once we get a bit of experience fighting off these mind games the first few days become a lot easier to get through.
Keep going ella you're doing great!
