I met my chiropractor in the store I was managing at the time. He came in as a customer, watched me struggling to get around. I told him what my doctor had told me, that I was a prime candidate for knee replacement, old (44), fat and on my feet all day. I told him I was trying to get on the waiting list for the doctor my insurance would cover. He nodded and continued shopping. As he was leaving he touched the back of my neck and said he did not think my problem was in my knees, it was in my neck and he could fix me if I was interested. A few weeks later I had an accident which brought on excruciating pain. I went to see him and he got me walking in one treatment. It took much longer to ease the pain, but I was pretty much normal until a car wreck made things worse than ever. He hasn't been able to help me this time, but neither has anyone else.
When people wonder where I found my chiropractor, I tell them at the Dollar General Store.
