I've read many posts of people who had the same problem and the body healed it with oilpulling. I had pain in a tooth, but it was ground down to almost nothing with a bridge on top of it. The dentist said I needed a root canal. When I looked into root canal Health effects, I decided absolutely no way. Please research that before you even think about root canal. I oilpulled for about 1 1/2 months and the pain went away under the bridge. I ate without pain for another month. Then my bridge came off. I decided to have the one tooth pulled due to it was ground down so much to put the original crown on which I had for along time and it was not going to heal due to there hardly being any tooth left. So I felt it would not heal and had it pulled. Had it not been ground down and capped I believe it would of healed completely. I've read alot of posts about people healing absessed teeth on this site so I thought I would give it a try. But my tooth was so ground down that the dentist could not even pull it and he sent me to an oral surgeon. That is the only reason I believe it didn't work for me totally and why the bridge came off. The dentist said the infection seemed to blast the bridge off. I believe the body knows when it needs to rid itself of infecton and when it can heal itself from infection. It doesn't sound like you have the ground down tooth problems. So I encourage you to be patient.
The doctor that started oilpulling said that pain is a sign of healing. Look it up and read what he has to say about it. It will probably help you stay on track.
