I think OPing with it is your best bet, but you also might want to cut out grains for a while and if you are consuming any other oils on top of it - I would say it probably adds quite a bit of calories - do look at your other foods as well. 3 tablespoons is a lot I think - of course don't take my word for it - I'm certainly no expert. You do need oil. The barefoot herbalist - one of my favorites - recommends lecithin as the bast oil I think.
