I'm certainly no fan of the devil, but I could never help but laugh at the title of the Rolling Stone's song "Sympathy For The Devil", everybody is always blaming everything on him instead of accepting personal responsibility. Now we have "the blame wars".

The books probably also have lead in the ink (in the U.S., color newsprint used to have high lead content until the late 80's or early 90's). I don't think the bosses at Mattel fire the Chinese (or the devil), they fire the employees responsible for this mess.


It seems that "reassure" has been redefined to mean "BLAME somebody else".

"Beijing has tried to defend its safety record and reassure consumers by highlighting similar problems in other countries".


We are going to have much more vigilant about our health now (not just food).
