Maybe the Amish Healer should charge those seminars by donation. Buddhist teachers do that and people give more than if they were asked for a small fee. They ask the people to donate and explain that they never charge and they ask people to pay according to their ability - if they truly cannot afford a donation and are too ill to even volunteer some of their time, then they are allowed for free - no one asks any questions - it's up to you - but if they have more money they are asked to donate according to what it is worth to them and to consider what they would have to pay for a 2 day seminar any other place. Also they mention the cost of putting the thing on as well. I have gone to teachings when I had no money and not paid a dime and when I have had it I have contributed much. No-one ever said a word to me - the baskets and the envelopes were there and always someone stands at the door with a basket - no judgments ever - Buddhist teachings should never be for a charge so they have to do it this way - everyone brings food for a pot luck too. So we all make our contribution and the community seems to prosper.
I don't know what the Amish rules are and if it would be allowed to do this, but it works on the Buddhist path.
Funny when people are bargaining over a sale it is said that you if you are the seller - try to get the other guy to make an offer rather than putting a price on it - you will probably get more for it than you would have charged. LOL
