I just got out the shower and decided to rub some Lugols onto my thighs and stomach, then I looked down at my hand and the Iodine had turned my wedding rings black. I freaked out panicked!!!!

Some jewelry polish got them clean again, but I didn't even think about the effect of Iodine on gold. Might have to resort to a paint brush after all.
