Wow - I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had the surgery about 5 years ago and I was in excruciating pain for a month afterwards. They put me back in the hospital and I would have to have morphine several times a day - the pain was so bad that all the morphine really did was make lessen it to the point where I could stand it without screaming. Then I found that if I laid down right on the part of my stomach that hurt with a pillow it would finally subside. They did 2 cat scans and tried 2 x to put a camera down my throat but I would fight with them and they could not get it all the way down because I would pull it out. They had given me this strange medicine that leaves you conscious but you don't remember it) Anyway - it finally stopped - actually I do believe that I was allergic to the anesthesia, and was simply incredibly constipated from it - especially since they gave me 2 giant vicadin on an empty stomach when I awoke from the surgery. A stupid thing to do in my opinion - never take stuff orally on an empty stomach. I finally began to take magnesium and then things cleared up - It is the best thing to take in my opinion for constipation. The morphine and the vicadens that they were giving me exacerbated the situation. So - that's my theory about it anyway - they never did find the cause and eventually it went away but it was a nightmare for a while. So maybe it is just constipation and taking some magnesium supplements might help. I hope so....
