Re: Juicing
Hello 83957 I dont dillute my juice personaly speaking. You can dillute your juice if you feel its a good idea,it will alter the taste.Considering you just removed the pulp why would you want to put it back in.If you want wholefood juice then you want to get a high power blender.Which is great for expensive produce such as berries and other supperfoods where throughing any of it away is well wasteful. As far as the fiber goes if you choose not to use it in making muffins and other baked goods. You can recycle via a compost pile,I made mine out of a discarded wooden palate. It takes very little space but does require some manual labor. If you want to pitch it you can seperate the fiber/pulp so the garbage can doesnt get to heavey.Back a few years when I was into
juicing alot I got flagged by the local disposal company for violating the 50lb. limit on garbage.I started seperating the
juicing residuals after that and was never flagged again. As for plant based cyanide goes, there has never been a documented case of poisoning relavent to this issue. The main issue with seeds and the core is microbial contamination.I always check the core for microbial and insect contamination and make sure the apples have a stem/cork when I purchase them.Veggie cleansers should always be used on fresh produce to minimize toxin exsposier. The wash does break down the natural and man made wax that is found on all fruits and veggies.Any contaminants in the wax can be removed which can lower ones exposier to toxins which is always a good thing.
